E has high AP ratios — core idea is using E's burst as your damage. Even on AP, rend stays physical, so build armor pen.

Use Marksmage to convert Thresh's infinite passive AP (via souls) into 75% bonus physical on autos. Combined with E passive's soul-based bonus magic damage and item on-hits, it's a triple-mixed-damage hit — melts squishies and tanks alike. Thresh's passive permanently gives AP and armor, so Marksmage scales endlessly. Stack souls + AS + AP.
