How Ability Augments work
Ability Augments focus on one ability or gameplay pattern instead of giving every champion the same generic effect. The goal is to make the augment feel tied to the champion you are playing.
Early champion-fit signals
Before live stats exist, the best candidates are champions whose core ability already defines their fight pattern. Skillshots, hooks, snares, knockups, and displacement tools are the first places to look.
Confirmed examples
Riot named Multishot and Chain Reaction as early examples. PBE data also lists Tripleshot, Spell Split, Echo Cast, and Siphon as ability-focused augments to watch before live stats arrive.
