Complete Prismatic Augment Tier List for ARAM Mayhem
A comprehensive ranking of every Prismatic augment in ARAM Mayhem, from S-tier game-changers to avoid-at-all-costs traps.
ARAM Mayhem is notoriously unbalanced—and Prismatic augments are the biggest reason why. Picking the right augment can carry your game. Picking the wrong one means you’re playing with a handicap. Here’s the definitive tier list.
Tier Ratings Explained
| Tier | Meaning |
|---|---|
| S-Tier | Game-changing. Pick instantly. |
| A-Tier | Excellent choice for the right champion |
| B-Tier | Solid but situational |
| C-Tier | Average, better options exist |
| D-Tier | Avoid. Actively hurts your team. |
S-Tier: The Best Prismatic Augments
Clown College
The cornerstone of multiple broken builds. Gives you Shaco’s Q as an extra ability—stealth plus a blink.
Why it’s S-tier:
- Invisible Garen spinning through your team
- Fiddlesticks ulting from stealth (basically old Rengar levels of terror)
- Core augment for suicide bomber builds with Dive Bomb + Shadowflame
- Turns short-range champions into assassins
Best on: Garen, Fiddlesticks, Graves, any melee who needs a gap closer
Draw Your Sword
Sacrifices range for massive stat bonuses. ADCs become melee hypercarries.
Why it’s S-tier:
- Graves and Samira become absolute monsters
- Short-range ADCs can take this without losing much
- The stat boost is massive enough to justify the playstyle change
Best on: Graves, Samira, Lucian, any short-range ADC
Giant Slayer
One of the highest win-rate Prismatic augments. Permanent 400+ movement speed.
Why it’s S-tier:
- Makes you permanently fast
- Helps engage, kite, escape—everything
- One of the reasons tanks struggle in current meta
Best on: Everyone. Literally everyone.
Note: This augment is arguably overtuned. Tanks can’t exist when everyone moves this fast.
Dual Wield
The ADC augment. If you’re playing marksman and see this, take it.
Why it’s S-tier:
- Doubles your attack output
- Synergizes with every ADC build
- Another reason tanks are suffering
Best on: Any ADC, especially attack speed builds
Infernal Conduit
Massive ability haste. Turns ARAM into URF.
Why it’s S-tier:
- Works on both high-CD and low-CD mages
- Late game Brand can end games in 8 minutes because enemies surrender
Best on: Any mage, especially Brand, Lux, Syndra
Back to Basics
Removes your ultimate but massively boosts basic abilities. Sounds bad. Often incredible.
Why it’s S-tier:
- Some champions don’t need their ult (Evelynn, Ezreal, Twisted Fate)
- Ryze keeps his ult passive (ability damage bonus)
- Rumble keeps his ult passive (armor pen + lifesteal)
- Gangplank barrels are BUGGED—double damage on chained barrels
Best on: Ryze, Rumble, Gangplank (bugged), Ezreal, champions with weak ults
Final Form
Massive power spike when you ult. Damage, resistances, size increase.
Why it’s S-tier:
- Works on any champion with an impactful ultimate
- Shape-shifters (Nidalee, Elise, Jayce) trigger it on transform
- Udyr triggers it on Awakened abilities
Best on: Anyone who doesn’t take Back to Basics
Fey Magic
Ability casts reduce remaining cooldowns. Spell spam to victory.
Why it’s S-tier:
- Katarina, Samira, Miss Fortune, Teemo, Anivia all become terrifying
- Special mention: Ornn with Fey Magic is somehow one of the best combos in the game
Best on: Katarina, Samira, Miss Fortune, Teemo, Anivia, Ornn
Dashing
175 ability haste on movement abilities. Basically infinite dashes.
Why it’s S-tier:
- Any champion with a dash ability benefits enormously
- Movement abilities are always useful
Special interactions:
- Rammus passive counts as an ability (haste converts to attack speed)
- Rumble’s dash is a passive, doesn’t benefit
- LeBlanc: R must copy W when you select this augment to get the bonus
Best on: Any champion with a movement ability
Jeweled Gauntlet
Abilities can critically strike. Damage is king.
Why it’s S-tier:
- Works on any damage dealer
- Mayhem has Ruined Ritual (AP + crit item), so mages can build crit easily
- Infinity Edge amplifies Shadowflame damage
Best on: Any burst mage or AP assassin
Tap Dancer
Stack attack damage by killing minions. Infinite scaling.
Why it’s S-tier:
- ADCs take this and never look back
- Combined with Slow and Steady: attacks give move speed, move speed gives attack speed, attack speed gives AD
- The only augment that makes teammates type “let me stack”
Best on: Any ADC, especially late-game carries
Eureka
The best mage augment. Provides 100-200 ability haste late game.
Why it’s S-tier:
- Turns the game into URF
- Veigar with Eureka has 1-second W cooldown
- Mana is never an issue in Mayhem (everyone has Manaflow passive)
Best on: Any mage, especially Veigar, Lux, Brand
A-Tier: Excellent Choices
Wooglet’s Witchcap
Combines Zhonya’s and Rabadon’s into one item. You effectively get a 7th item slot.
Why it’s A-tier:
- Immediate power spike
- Late game advantage with extra item slot
- No downside
Best on: Any AP champion
Upgrade: Mikael’s Blessing
60-second team cleanse + 1000 gold on pickup.
Why it’s A-tier:
- Start with 2400 gold (enough for a full item)
- Amazing against Morgana, Thresh, heavy CC comps
- Top-tier support augment
Best on: Enchanters, especially against CC-heavy teams
Scopiest Weapons
Increases attack range + triple-hit passive with % damage.
Why it’s A-tier:
- Lets melee champions poke from range
- More conservative than Draw Your Sword but still strong
Best on: Short-range champions who need safety
Goldrend
Bonus gold on kills/assists. Strong economy augment.
Why it’s A-tier:
- Solid gold generation
- WARNING: Bugged—only one person per team can have this. If two people take it, the first person’s augment breaks.
Best on: Anyone, but coordinate with your team
Circle of Death
Healing converts to damage. Healing abilities also provide shields.
Why it’s A-tier:
- Transforms tanky sustain champions into damage threats
- Zac and Nunu become monsters
Best on: Zac, Nunu, Dr. Mundo, any champion with built-in sustain
Fan the Hammer
Crab-leg passive: five bolts that proc on-hit effects.
Why it’s A-tier:
- On-hit procs are huge (triple-hit champions get double procs)
- Slightly worse than Dual Wield overall
Best on: On-hit builders, attack speed champions
Goliath
Become huge. More HP, more presence.
Why it’s A-tier:
- Strong when enemy team lacks ADCs
- In current ADC-dominated meta, you’re just a bigger target
Best on: Tanks, but only when enemy has no ADC
B-Tier: Situational Picks
Biggest Snowball Ever
Your snowball knocks up enemies. Extra CC.
Why it’s B-tier:
- Universal, works on anyone
- Low ceiling—doesn’t transform your champion
Best on: Anyone who needs engage
Quantum Computing
AOE damage pulses. Inner circle does 4x damage.
Why it’s B-tier:
- Actually underrated—good damage if you stay on top of enemies
- Problem: people instinctively play for outer circle (Darius, Lillia habits)
- Would be better as a snowball replacement for timing control
Best on: Pantheon, Lee Sin, champions who stick to targets
Mighty Shield
Bonus healing and shielding on yourself.
Why it’s B-tier:
- Good on self-sustain tanks (Mordekaiser, Mundo)
- Increases survivability but not threat level
- ADCs will still shred you
Best on: Mordekaiser, Dr. Mundo, self-healing tanks
Cruelty
Comets rain on CC’d enemies.
Why it’s B-tier:
- Insane on Rell and Cassiopeia
- On most champions, just average comet damage
Best on: Rell, Cassiopeia, high CC champions
Ultimate Revolution
Reset your ultimate every 75 seconds.
Why it’s B-tier:
- Good early, falls off late
- Special tech: Don’t use your refreshed ult, die, and your refresh CD resets. Turns long ult CDs into respawn timer CDs.
Best on: Karthus, Fiddlesticks (with the death tech)
Laser Heal
Heal allies with a laser. Scaling based on your HP.
Why it’s B-tier:
- Better on tanks than enchanters
- 2000+ heals possible on high-HP champions
Best on: Dr. Mundo, Sion, high-HP tanks
Feel the Burn
Ignite + Exhaust nearby enemies as an active ability.
Why it’s B-tier:
- Must target an enemy to activate (frustrating vs. stealth)
- Would be A-tier if it was a self-centered AOE
Best on: ADCs for self-peel, assassins for burst
Mystic Punch
Abilities reduce cooldowns on hit.
Why it’s B-tier:
- S-tier with Ethereal Weapon combo
- Alone, only amazing on Master Yi and Gangplank
Best on: Master Yi, Gangplank, Lucian
C-Tier: Mediocre Options
I’m a Baby Kitty
Heal/shield power + move speed toward marked allies.
Why it’s C-tier:
- Enchanter-only
- Move speed toward allies isn’t that useful in chaotic teamfights
Best on: Enchanters only
Ominous Pact
Lose HP to cast, gain AP and move speed.
Why it’s C-tier:
- Very narrow champion pool
- Only works on Vladimir, Swain, Singed (champs with sustain who don’t spam)
- Side effects often outweigh benefits
Best on: Vladimir, Swain, Singed
Symphony of War
Two rune keystones at once.
Why it’s C-tier:
- Sounds cool, plays boring
- Less exciting than other Prismatic options
- “I’d rather gamble on Transmute: Chaos than take this safe option”
Best on: Anyone, but why?
Mad Scientist
Grow and shrink periodically.
Why it’s C-tier:
- Why does this exist when Goliath and Giant Slayer already exist?
- Only use: combine with Giant Slayer to become unhittable when small
Best on: Combined with Giant Slayer only
Gash
Bonus damage based on armor, plus attack speed.
Why it’s C-tier:
- Champions who attack often don’t have high armor
- Would need level scaling to be useful
- Combine with Ethereal Weapon on Rammus for memes
Best on: Rammus (with Ethereal Weapon), Leona
Blade Waltz
Automatically attack nearby enemies.
Why it’s C-tier:
- Darius can’t stack bleed properly
- Ekko and Fizz can stack 3-hit passive (inconsistent)
- Fun on Garen, Samira, Fiddlesticks, Fiora but not optimal
Best on: Garen, Samira, Fiddlesticks (meme builds)
Transmute: Chaos
Random augments. Pure gambling.
Why it’s C-tier:
- High roll: S-tier power
- Low roll: Two silver augments
- Not worth the risk for most players
Best on: Gamblers only
Omni Soul
Get all dragon soul effects.
Why it’s C-tier:
- No dragon items in Mayhem, so no soul transformation
- Dragon soul effects are weak in ARAM
- Needs a collection bonus to be interesting
Best on: No one, really
Courage of the Colossus
Shield when you CC enemies.
Why it’s C-tier:
- Old mastery, now underwhelming
- Early game utility, late game irrelevant
- ADCs will chew through this shield
Best on: Engage tanks early game
D-Tier: Avoid These
Empyrean Promise
Bard-style W to allies, brief untargetability during dash.
Why it’s D-tier:
- Pathetic numbers
- Sticking to allies in teamfights usually means you both die
- Only Thresh-like engage supports might want this
Best on: No one. Skip.
Windspeaker’s Blessing
Give allies bonus resistances.
Why it’s D-tier:
- Tanks don’t need more resistances to survive
- Squishies would rather have heals/shields
- A silver augment pretending to be Prismatic
Best on: No one. Skip.
Snowball Roulette
Snowball cleanses you on hit.
Why it’s D-tier:
- Lowest win-rate Prismatic augment
- Why would you cleanse yourself AFTER hitting someone with snowball?
- Should give you a random ultimate on snowball hit instead
Best on: No one. Literally useless.
King Me
Complete enemy portal for random augments.
Why it’s D-tier:
- Must push to enemy base to activate
- By then, game is basically over
- Even if you complete it, random augments might hurt you
Best on: No one. The risk-reward is terrible.
Master of Duality
Stack AD from abilities, AP from attacks. 4-second duration.
Why it’s D-tier:
- Almost no champions have good AD/AP hybrid scaling
- 4-second duration is too short to stack meaningfully
- Maybe Corki? But even then, meh.
Best on: Corki (barely)
Can’t Touch This
Brief invulnerability during ultimate.
Why it’s D-tier:
- Pyke and LeBlanc are the only champions who benefit
- Every other champion has better Prismatic options
- Fiddlesticks/Zed ult already makes them untargetable during cast
Best on: Pyke, LeBlanc (and that’s it)
Quest: Urf’s Champion
Complete 18 takedowns for a stat stick item.
Why it’s D-tier:
- No immediate power
- Takes forever to complete
- Even when complete, the item has DOWNSIDES (more damage taken, reduced healing)
- Should give 1000 gold upfront to be remotely viable
Best on: No one. It’s a trap.
Glass Cannon
Trade HP for damage.
Why it’s D-tier:
- The damage increase is pathetic
- The HP loss is significant
- Pure pool pollution
Best on: No one. Actively makes you worse.
Ultimate Awakening
Bonus effects after ulting.
Why it’s D-tier (currently):
- Numbers are too low
- HOWEVER: Getting buffed next patch to 200 ability haste after ulting
- Will become S-tier after buff
Best on: Wait for the patch.

Final Thoughts
The current meta heavily favors ADCs with augments like Dual Wield and Giant Slayer. Tanks are struggling because everyone has too much damage and too much movement speed.
If you want to climb, prioritize:
- Damage amplification augments
- Cooldown reduction augments
- Movement speed augments
Avoid anything that only adds survivability—you need to kill before you get killed.
Good luck in your games, and may your Prismatic offerings be S-tier.
