Maokai S Q grants a shield stack per hit — multi-target Q = huge shield. Nautilus S Protein Shake makes Nautilus's W shield enormous — extremely tanky, even better with Heartsteel. 
Alistar S Alistar's Q is group CC and procs Colossus multiple times for an instantly huge shield — high haste means frequent Q, basically unkillable. Build full tank; Colossus has 5s CD, so dump full combo each fight, then Q to proc Colossus — bigger shield per enemy hit.
