Ethereal Weapon ARAM: Mayhem combos

Aurora's passive triple-ring deals % max-HP magic damage — at 800 AP it hits 20%+ max HP. Ethereal Weapon multi-procs it for insane burst that pure tanks can't survive. Forge: AP > magic pen. Always grab Ethereal Weapon, then prioritize CDR and MS hexes.

Blitz's R passive chains lightning between autos — Ethereal Weapon procs on that lightning, which procs the passive again in an infinite loop. Core is Dusk and Dawn for the extra on-hit (otherwise EW's CD breaks the chain). Must take Twin Flames — its bonus damage spawns firecrackers that proc R passive again, infinite knockup chain. NEVER cast R — once used, the passive ends. Use E off CD; EW procs E knockups; theoretically infinite knockups at 150+ haste.

Mystic Punch slashes Q's cooldown, opening up Blade Waltz freely. With Slow and Steady you keep E up full uptime + spam Q, soaking up all that converted AD. New Mystic Punch also reduces R — three R's per fight.

Classic Ethereal Weapon + Mystic Punch combo — abilities trigger on-hit effects to refresh CDs. Hard to assemble — requires both specific hexes; Mystic Punch alone isn't worth it.

Udyr's awakened R deals max-HP magic damage — stack AP and melt enemies with % damage. Drop awakened R right in the pile.

Varus W stacks up to 3 layers of passive on enemies for max-HP magic damage — at ~600 AP, 3 stacks = 100% HP magic damage. Need magic pen. Max W, level E and Q evenly with priority on E. Forge: magic pen > AD (w/ Adapt) > AP > MS. Ethereal Weapon + Nashor's lets ability damage proc passive twice. Weave autos: aq, aw, ar, wq. W detonation damage scales with Q charge time (up to +50%). W active adds bonus damage — max damage = R, W, max-charge Q to detonate 3 stacks.

Ethereal Weapon with W on. Pair with on-hit items and ability haste for maximum effect.

Q+E landing directly stacks 6 layers, triggering the passive twice.

Exploits a special interaction between Aurora's passive triple-ring and Snowball Upgrade. Upgraded Snowball has multiple magic-damage ticks — one hit stacks 8-10 passive layers and instantly detonates % damage multiple times. Pair with Ethereal Weapon or Biggest Snowball for even more frequency and ceiling. QEQ combo with Ethereal Weapon triggers two passive procs. Both Snowball Upgrade + Biggest Snowball cut the snowball cooldown to 1.7s for seamless ranged poke.

Bel'Veth's Q and W are AoE — multi-hits cut multiple CDs, making QWE basically zero-CD. Infinite QW knockup.

Ethereal Weapon + Duskblade. Single ability triggers third-hit passive and W passive.

Ethereal Weapon + Nashor's lets one ability proc the triple-ring.

Use Fan the Hammer's extra bolts to proc Ekko's W passive (% magic damage to low-HP targets). Each bolt fully triggers it — sub-30% HP targets get nuked by one EA. The combo not only stacks triple-ring but multi-procs the execute.

Q triggers on-hit effects twice.

W gets triggered by abilities.

Autos and Q each trigger an extra hit. Add Duskblade for massive damage.

Gwen is huge in this mode — Gold hexes include Ethereal Weapon and Marksmage, Prismatic includes Giant Slayer. Without Vampirism, take omnivamp items — with tank items you're untouchable in 1v1s.

Pair with Mystic Punch for infinite Q spam.

Ethereal Weapon lets W stay up indefinitely — Q the enemy and tentacles slam infinitely; ult speeds tentacle swings by 50%. Don't use W up.

Around 300 ability haste plus Mystic Punch enables infinite Q.

Ethereal Weapon + Duskblade. After upgrading W, one hit procs all plasma stacks.

Use Ethereal Weapon so abilities carry on-hit + Dusk and Dawn's Sheen damage — evolved W detonates 5 plasma stacks at long range. Must evolve W; vs tank teams swap Shadowflame for Void Staff; if you want to evolve E, grab Berserker's Greaves.

R normally applies only 25/30/35% on-hit damage. With this, it becomes 50/60/70%.

Auto attack flame waves trigger Ethereal Weapon.

Abilities directly trigger the passive.

Ethereal Weapon procs Lux's passive — E into multiple enemies and you can detonate the passive mark on all of them.

Q bleed and dogs each proc Ethereal Weapon. Pair with Blade of the Ruined King.

Q1 has a bleed — Ethereal Weapon procs the whole bleed window. Wolf pack charges in and one-shots.

Red rage W triggers Ethereal Weapon — pair with Mystic Punch for infinite CC chains.

Rammus W perfectly procs Ethereal Weapon; W also procs Gash. Core items: Heartsteel, Thornmail, Sterak's. When attacked, you trigger W damage + Thornmail damage + Gash damage + Heartsteel stacks and damage.

In Danger Zone, Q and E proc the passive damage.

Q+E+auto instantly fills the style meter.

Use Ethereal Weapon — in dragon form, open W then Q for multi-hit damage. Stack HP, main Q for splash damage; clustered enemies = max damage.

Build Ethereal Weapon before Dropkick — Dropkick first isn't great.

Vs tanks, always take Transmute Chaos — snowball in for first-attack one-shot, gold for forge upgrade. Dusk and Dawn lets one auto play two.

Stack armor pen, crit, and ability haste — chain Q + R into autos that quickly proc W's % HP burst for squishy deletes and tank chunks. Q can be flash-extended; R flight has CC immunity for dodging key CCs; E's AoE Excessive Force can snipe low-HP targets through walls.

Ethereal Weapon keyboard-mash to proc Mystic Punch — autopilot. Take it if offered.

Ghouls each trigger Ethereal Weapon on attack.

Ethereal Weapon makes abilities trigger item effects — feels like old-school Zed.

Ethereal Weapon procs off Zyra plants and creates an extremely high-value damage pattern.

Abilities auto-proc the passive, but the passive doesn't deal AoE.

Auto-procs the fire blade. Good for less experienced players.

Activate W, then hit Q/R or pull a spirit. Tentacles attack endlessly during W.

Use Marksmage + Zealot's AP scaling for mixed damage. A mage-side meme build.

Pair with Ethereal Weapon to stack Heartsteel fast, converting HP into damage and survivability. Joke build — DPS is weaker than sustained-damage routes; recommend if you like stacking HP.

Pair with physical-to-magic conversion and on-hit items for strong output.

W reflect damage procs on-hit effects.

Q and W hitting enemies extract souls.

Auto-procs the passive, but ult hitting someone breaks stealth. Double-edged.

Auto-triggers R's bonus damage on the next two autos.

Abilities trigger the passive. Pair with Ravenous Hydra for old-school vibes.

E then Q launches them straight up. R passive zaps 3 times in a row.

Q+E stacks W passive. With Duskblade, a single Q procs the third hit.

Passive attacks no longer refund energy. Never take this.

Q doesn't apply the passive.

Abilities don't trigger the passive. Skip.

Only Q triggers it. W bounces don't proc on-hit. Skip.

With Duskblade, a single Q stacks 3 passive layers.

W pick-a-card doesn't get triggered by Q.
